From Sea to Sea for AAC
Check out our blog.
Willy Waterton, The Sun Times
From May 19 to August 3, 2011, Skye cycled 8,382 kilometres for AAC, and his brother Kerr accompanied him in a bike trailer for part of the journey. Their mother, Gail, drove the support vehicle (an RV) , and their father, Burns, drove the accessible van while Kerr was along. There were more than 25 events, and Kilometres for Communication was raising awareness about the importance of augmentative and alternative communication on television, radio, in newspapers, newsletters, magazines, and social media nationally and internationally. Thank you to everyone who organized and participated in events, took photographs and made videos, sponsored and donated, and to those who cycled with us to raise awareness and funds for Cool Communicators across Canada.
